This weekend was the 4th annual Frogs & Dogs festival at the Issaquah Brewhouse. It’s a fun little celebration in the town of Issaquah, where I live, approximately 10 miles east of Seattle.
The title of Frogs and Dogs might be confusing to some, so to clear it up, there were….
It was a nice warm afternoon to get out with the dogs (we just brought one), and taste test some beer – in the name of charity. The entire event was a fund raiser for the Issaquah Brewhouse’s neighbor, the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery.
There were at least a dozen breweries represented, and one more if you count Bowser Beer for Dogs. Yep, beer for your dogs. Why should people have all the fun? Non-alcoholic, of course, and a local Seattle-area company! We picked up a bottle of the “Beefy Brown Ale” and the chicken stock infused “Cock-a-Doodle Brew.” It’s chilling in the fridge, but watch soon for the results of my girls giving it a taste test. We might just have to invite over some other pups for a party!
Lastly, I had to share a picture of this smiley pooch with a collar that had a built in beer bottle opener. I tell you, they think of everything. Talk about your service dogs!
