Wordless Wednesday – we all get old

Turns out at Monday’s routine annual vet visit, the doctor informed me that Izzie, who turned seven years old in March, is now considered a SENIOR dog. Don’t know how that happened when I haven’t aged a day since she was a pup.

Well Izzie, I can only hope to be half as cute as you when I am a senior. You really are fabulous!

Woof! Woof! YES, I can relate … I remember well when my vet told me mom. You’ll be like ME, A Happy FAB Senior Dog. Keep Smiling. Happy WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

You are a lovely “senior.” I was shocked when they said Tynan should have a senior exam and start on glucosamine. Time flies for people too- the AARP starts bugging us to join at 50!!

That’s the right attitude Izzie. I’m a ‘senior’ too, but age is just a number…

It seems to happen so quickly!

Yup! 7 is considered senior. Jeffie just celebrated his #7 birthday and it was a gala celebration as he became a senior canine citizen 🙂

If that vet insists on calling you senior, tell him you expect the senior discount. That’ll make him stop!

    That’s the way, I am 8, so a senior too. I don’t feel like a senior though.

    Isn’t senior, by definition, fabulous?

My vet never declared that Chester was senior. Because he is in such good shape I am just now (and 10 yeas old!) coming to terms that he IS a senior dog 🙂 I know what you mean about time going fast.

You don’t look a day older to me Izzie!

Senior Fabulous, indeed, even though you don’t look it. What’s great about having a white coat is you’ll never get greys! Happy WW!

Thanks for all the awesome comments! Izzie is in great health, and I guess it was just me that was surprised that 7 years old is a “senior” dog. Definitely don’t think of her that way. But now I know I need to research some “senior dog” care tips to keep her as young and vibrant as she is for a LONG time!
