Dogs can’t tell time

Last week I headed off to BlogPaws, a pet blogging/social media conference in the Washington D.C. area. I was gone from home for five days. On the long flight back to Seattle, what kept a smile on my face is knowing how glad my two dogs would be to see me upon my return.

Boy, was I right.

My dogs jumped up on me (they don’t usually jump up), greeted me with kisses, rubbed their face on me, and wagged their little nugget tails at  what appeared to be 100 miles per hour.

However….

Flash forward to the next day when my husband and I left the house for two hours and returned to a greeting with nearly the same intensity as the day before.

Moral of the story? Dogs can’t tell time.

So true! But still feels good every time though right? 🙂

Definitely. My dogs don’t really have separation anxiety, which is good, but they certainly lose it when we arrive home.

I hope you had a great time at Blog Paws! There’s nothing like being welcomed home from anywhere by your dog!

We were all over mom when she got home too…being left behind was forgotten when we saw her and then all the swag she brought back…yum!

Yes, mine were quite interested in what was in my my suitcase, as well.

This made me smile. 🙂 I think every dog owner can relate to this. My Smoosh is perpetually happy to see me. Although, I will say that he’s even MORE excited when it’s been a long period of time… so there’s a part of me that thinks on some level he knows. 🙂
It was lovely meeting you as well! I had so much fun at BlogPaws. Are you planning on going again next year in Veags? It’s a hell of a lot closer to us.

Love this! These texts from dogs just crack me up! Our dogs attacked me when I got home and then immediately went back into our routine – I was suffering from a BlogPaws hangover and they wanted to go for a walk. LOL

I love the Texts from Dogs. I bought the book, but I think they are best 1 or 2 at a time instead of reading a whole book of them at once.
