Turns out at Monday’s routine annual vet visit, the doctor informed me that Izzie, who turned seven years old in March, is now considered a SENIOR dog. Don’t know how that happened when I haven’t aged a day since she was a pup.

These pictures were taken of Izzie on one of her first trips to the beach as a puppy. She found a ball and decided if she started digging maybe there were other toys buried! As you can see from the last picture, she came up empty handed pawed.

The following is a set of pictures I took of Izzie enjoying her first ever dog Birthday cake I made for her. She turns seven this week!
Come back tomorrow when I post the recipe for this grain free turkey “cake” — I even snuck veggies in the cake (don’t tell Izzie!), plus it had a surprise sweet potato center, and was “frosted” with potatoes, sweet potatoes, and turkey bacon decorations.
