Walking for the Animals – Go, Team DogSplendor!

DogSplendor is SO excited to be heading up a team for this year’s Seattle Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals. The walk takes place on Sunday, September 23rd, at University Village in Seattle, with FidoFest at the same location immediately afterwards.

Here is how YOU can help:

1) Join us!  Click here to join the DogSplendor walk team.

2) Consider making a donation of any size to help shelter dogs that aren’t as fortunate as your own. Your donation can help fund the important life-saving programs at Seattle Humane including community services like the Pet Food Bank for older and low income families, dog training classes, the Visiting Pet Friends program where animals and volunteers visit convalescent homes, educational programs, and free or low cost spay and neuter programs for the community.

Thank you in advance for your help with this important cause!

Write a Post, Help a Dog

I tried to explain to lazydog, that not all dogs have access to food like she does.

I can tell she listened to each and every word intently and thoughtfully.

You know how I know she listened?

Because the sentence included the word “food,” and now she’s in the kitchen.

Smart little bugger!

But seriously, dog food is a humongous budget item for struggling animal shelters, and they can use all the help they can get.

So when I found out I could write a post and the nice folks at Pedigree would donate a 17-pound bag of Pedigree Dry Dog Food to a shelter in exchange — well, that’s a no brainer, folks. The card below shows more of what the “Write a Post, Help a Dog” initiative has accomplished.
